What are video appointments?

Video appointments are "virtual"appointments through a computer, tablet, or cell phone that allow you to see the practitioner and the practitioner to see you. They are are done through a secured platform with software called Telehealth. Video appointments with us are safe, protected and confidential and meet all the requirements for the Ministry of Ontario's Health Information Protection Act.

What type of care can I receive by video appointment?

Video appointments are available with Dr. Christina McGlashan for chiropractic care and Meera Senjaliya for physiotherapy and pelvic floor physiotherapy and Dr. Maria Galantai for Naturopathic care. Both new and existing patients can be seen by video.

Who can book a video appointment?

Anyone can be seen for a video appointment as long as you have access to a computer, tablet, or cell phone. Both existing and new patients can be seen for Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, or Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, and Naturopathic Care.

How can video appointments help me?

Video appointments allow the practitioner to see you and for you to see the practitioner. This then allows practitioners to speak with you about your health concerns and allow you to show us where your symptoms are and what you are struggling with. The practitioner can direct you through specific movements to assess you, and then let you know if they are able to help you through video or if you need to come in to the clinic for an emergency treatment. If the practitioner is able to help you through video then they can provide you with hands on self pain management techniques, exercises, stretches, and other tips to help you with your concerns.  Please note we also have a new software program to allow us to send you specific exercises with video demonstrations and instructions that we may have recommended or demonstrated to you during your video appointment that you can access through your Jane (our online booking system) account!

If you are unsure whether your symptoms would be considered for an emergency in clinic treatment, please book a COMPLIMENTARY video appointment and our practitioners can speak with you directly and do a quick assessment to determine if we need to see you in the clinic. If the practitioner determines you need to be seen in the clinic they will arrange a time for you to come in and walk you through the new policies and procedures required for emergency treatments in the clinic. If the practitioner is able to help you through video then they will continue the appointment with you as described above and you will be charged a fee for the appointment.

How do I book a video appointment?

Go to our   online booking  site and choose the Chiropractic or Physiotherapy or Naturopathic Treatment - VIDEO appointment. You will be able to choose from a number of appointment times with Dr. Christina McGlashan or Meera Senjaliya or Dr. Maria Galantai. Chiropractic appointments are either 20 minutes or 40 minutes in length, and Physiotherapy appointments are either 30 minutes or 45 minutes in length. Naturopathic appointments are 30 minutes to 90 minutes in length. When you book an appointment you will receive a confirmation email that includes a link to a form that we need filled in prior to your appointment, as well as instructions on how to prepare for your video appointment.

How do I connect to a video appointment?

Video appointments are very easy to connect to. When you book your appointment you will receive a booking confirmation email with instructions on how to prepare for your appointment and a link that you can click on to connect. Please note, you will be asked to read a consent form and agree prior to being able to connect to your video appointment.
