Dr. Christina McGlashan is the Clinic Director of River Oaks Chiropractic and Wellness Centre and has been practicing as a Chiropractor and Acupuncture practitioner for over 10 years. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver. Subsequently, she went on to graduate with numerous awards, including clinical skills excellence, and clinic honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, in Toronto. Dr. McGlashan completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University in 2004, and has completed her Fellowship of Chiropractic Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation, a specialty of Chiropractic. She is the only Chiropractic Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist in Oakville. Dr. McGlashan is a Registered Chiropractor and member of The College of Chiropractors of Ontario.
Dr. McGlashan enjoys an active lifestyle and instills the importance of overall good health with proper nutrition, exercise, and balancing work and family in a healthy manner. She understands the many demands and stress of a busy lifestyle and works with each patient to ensure their optimal health by meeting all of their health care goals in an individual manner that works for them. She enjoys treating people of all ages from all walks of life, and all conditions that involve muscles, nerves, and joints.
Dr. McGlashan holds special certifications for custom orthotics and Webster technique, which is used for pregnant women, and uses a variety of techniques and treatments, such as:

Sarah PodolskyRegistered Massage Therapist
Sarah has been practicing since 2012 after she graduated and is a licensed, Registered Massage Therapist of Ontario. She has also attained her 1st level in craniosacral therapy and is fully certified for Vodder lymphatic drainage massage. Sarah enjoys working with people of all ages, and uses a lighter approach to massage that is effective for myofacial release, but is more gentle than deep tissue massage.
Sarah recently achieved honorable mention in the 2018 Oakville Beaver Readers' Choice Awards for being voted one of the top 8 massage therapists in Oakville!
Helena PetrechovaRegistered Massage Therapist
Helena was first introduced to massage therapy as a member of the national track and field team in Slovakia, and learned first-hand the benefits of massage therapy through treatment of her own injuries. She now has over 17 years of healthcare experience in a variety of fields including physiotherapy and massage and uses her vast knowledge base to provide patients with a custom, tailored massage to meet their healthcare needs and goals. Helena is a licensed, Registered Massage Therapist of Ontario.
She uses a variety of treatment techniques including swedish massage, deep tissue, hydrotherapy, and remedial exercise to treat various musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Helena has also completed additional training in massage cupping, reflexology, hot stone therapy, pediatric Cranio-Sacral therapy, nerve mobilization, remedial exercise for the treatment of postural dysfunction.
Helena continues to be very active in track and field through participation in the world masters games, spartan games, and regular exercise.
Meera SenjaliyaRegistered Physiotherapist
Meera is a licensed, Registered Physiotherapist of Ontario since 2015 and an Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant from Humber College. Her passion for health and fitness is what motivates her to help her patients. She believes in maintaining a healthy life style by eating right and exercising on a daily basis. She has a keen interest in performing mobilization on patients struggling with activities associated with daily living.
Meera has expertise in analyzing and treating musculoskeletal conditions; conservative management and post operative rehabilitation. She is eager to expand her professional knowledge base and is always looking forward to taking various continuing education courses. She is trained in manual therapy, manipulation techniques and has successfully completed Orthopaedic Division Level 1. She is also a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Meera has also completed specialized training to treat pelvic floor issues. She is certified to treat male and female urinary incontinence and other pelvic floor dysfunctions. She believes common pelvic issues in women need to be discussed and treated, not just 'dealt with' without getting to the cause of the issue.
She also does Yoga to gain a better co-ordination between her mind and body. In her free time she enjoys dancing, spending quality time with her family and friends. Gardening is something she has recently gained a fondness for.
