Saadia Hassan has been a registered physiotherapist since 2014. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology, and then went on to pursue her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University, which emphasizes an evidence-based approach to healthcare. Saadia treats each patient individually in a thirty minute one-on-one session, and has a strong focus on exercise prescription and exercise rehabilitation. She strongly believes in treating the underlying cause of a condition and preventative rehabilitation, rather than simply treating the symptoms. She has worked with individuals of all ages, with a special interest in musculoskeletal/orthopaedic and neurological conditions. She also has extensive experience in treating more complex conditions, such as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), multiple sclerosis, rhabdomyolysis, and concussions.
Research and further education plays an important role in Saadia’s practice. She was a presenter at the 2015 Canadian Physiotherapy Association Congress in Halifax and at the research plenary day for the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, and is also currently working as a research assistant at the University of Toronto. She has participated as an interviewer at McMaster University for prospective physiotherapy students, and has also served as a preceptor for current physiotherapy students in the program. She has completed her manual therapy level one course and is currently pursuing courses in acupuncture and chronic pain.
In her spare time, Saadia enjoys running, hiking, and rock climbing. She has also been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton since 2010.

Registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor
Martha has worked in the field of mental health for over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo in 1984, she went on to further her education at Concordia University in Montreal, specializing in Interpersonal and Group Dynamics Counselling in 1995. Her interests in addiction therapy then led to her designation of Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (ICADC) and an Addictions Careworker with a postgraduate diploma from McMaster. She is currently in the process of becoming certified in the practice of Eye Movement Integration (EMI) which is a highly effective method of treating trauma.
With her extensive training and experience as a catalyst of change, Martha enjoys working with a variety of different client issues. She has a particular area of focus in addictions, both for those directly identifying their own substance use or behaviours as problematic, and also for those whose lives have been affected by others' substance use and addictive behaviours. This particular area of focus leads Martha to use her holistic approach of incorporating the mind/body connection with acupuncture using her NADA protocol certification for addictions. She has worked for 17 years in mental health and addiction at a major Ontario hospital, as well as in long-term residential, intensive day, and community outpatient formats.
Martha maintains affiliations and accountability as a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, as an ICDAC with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation, and as an Acu-Detox Specialist with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA).
Martha's method is to work with each client to assess their needs and to design and implement a treatment plan with them. She uses Psychotherapy to support the client gaining insight and to explore the "why" of issues, and then incorporates various models of treatment to support the client through the "how" of healing and moving forward in their life. Although a client's issues are of paramount importance in the therapeutic process, Martha's style and creative approach are energizing and on occasion create a shared laugh.
Martha welcomes people who are seeking help around:
